New purchases....

Well today I visited Franklins in Colchester and found some fabulous cherry printed bias binding, as well as some lovely patterns for me to try.  Pictures to follow....I am so pleased it is the Christmas Holiday as I can really focus on getting better at this and not just making demonic bunnies!!

The bunny army...

Well I have made another creature out of remnants - apparently it looks like a floral ghost!!  It is floral fabric with sequins for buttons and felt eyes....a bit creepy apparently!  But on the plus side it does look neater than attempt number one!!!

I feel my progress is making good progress - I purchased another book today by EIthne Farry as I liked her other book 'Yeah I made it myself!' and will give me some more tips and inspiration. Going to Franklins tomorrow to have a looksy at the 'stuff' and see what tickles my fancy - how exciting!

I think I may need to indulge in making some good old fashioned xmas decorations for the tree tomorrow.  Yay, Christmas!! And sewing - I cannot wait until my skills are more developed so I can make lots of pretty things!!

My first sewing project...

I forgot to add, my first project are little fabric bunnies.... though they do look a little demonic!  I will post some pictures soon, but I thought I would share what I am currently up to!!

I should build my own army of bunnies....but I digress!!

Hello!

I decided to start this blog as a new crafts person.  I have invested in a sewing machine...the last time I used a sewing machine it got rather attached to my tie in school...

Anyway, I am an English teacher in need of another creative outlet so have decided to have a go at making my own clothes, presents, etc.  Fully embracing the sewing machine!
